Whipped Coffee Bandwagon

Try the whipped stuff, it's delicious!

So, I FINALLY decided to give the whipped coffee trend a try, and I am so glad I did. I have had whipped coffee every day since I tried it!! I love the strong coffee flavor, but the texture is so light and fluffy. I like to use coconut milk mixed with a sugar free syrup for the base. If you want to make this super easy recipe, all you need is 2 tbsp INSTANT coffee, 2 tbsp Stevia (or any sugar), and 2 tbsp hot water. I saw someone add in Nutella to their whipped coffee, so I tried that and I prefer it without the Nutella. It just made the texture thicker and did not add much more flavor. This coffee is perfect if you want an indulgent coffee drink without all the hundreds of calories. Highly recommend. Very happy I jumped on the bandwagon.

QuarantineVictories

In this crazy time of the pandemic, it is important to remember the little victories. For instance, Starbucks drive-thrus are still open!!!! Lol coffee is what's getting me through the endless days of quarantine, but the main thing getting me through the days is God. I have been able to spend much more time with the Lord and it has been so refreshing! It is the best way to start my mornings. His word just helps me to remember that His plans are greater than what is happening in our world today; He is preparing for something great. All my love and faith lies with Him.

Starbucks Go-Tos

Skinny Caramel Macchiato

This is a MUST if you have not already tasted this lil beauty. One of many people’s favorites; iced or hot. It is the perfect balance of bitterness, sweet, and creamy all in one. If you prefer a sweeter taste, try asking for extra caramel drizzle or an extra pump or two of the sugar-free or regular vanilla syrup. Or if you desire a creamier taste, don’t get the skinny version with the non-fat milk and just use 2% or whole milk. Sometimes I like to get coconut milk to add some extra flavor.

*Tip: if you get any drink iced, ask for light ice so your drink won’t get too watered down or be two sips then gone.*

Iced Cold Brew

My newest go-to. Heaven in a cup if you add 4 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup and add my own half-and-half. It’s basically a healthier version of the vanilla sweet cream cold brew, but sometimes with that I feel like saying, “Yes, thank you for my cream with a splash of coffee.” Cold brew is more expensive than just iced coffee, but I think it’s totally worth the extra buck or two, Cold brew coffee has to seep in water for a while, so it has a stronger coffee flavor.

BAD ASS COFFEE

ICED COCONUT  MOCHA (w/ skim milk)

Would definitely describe this coffee as Bad Ass ;) The Bad Ass Coffee shop uses coffee blends from Hawaii, like Kona Coffee, which gives their drinks an authentic feel. Also, the coffee shop, located in Destin, Florida, is decorated all cute and beachy with various vibrant colors.

Most importantly, their iced coconut mocha...AMAZING!!!! This signature drink contains dark chocolate sauce and coconut flavored syrup. Yummmmmmieee. The fruity accent mixed with the chocolate delicacy made the drink have a tropical vibe. It was perfect for a sweet treat at the beach.

Scrumptious Scone

A tasty treat to go with your morning cup of Joe.

This yummy pastry came from Panera Bread. Their blueberry scone is my all-time favorite treat to eat with my coffee. Scones are typically more of a dry pastry rather than moist, so most people frown upon them. However, Panera Bread has mastered the art of making a scone. Their scones still have the "dry" stereotype, yet they are moist. I believe the scone gets the moistness from the delightful glaze they cover the scone with. As well as the moistness, the scone is BURSTING with blueberry deliciousness!!! I mean c'mon, do you see all them blueberries in that picture!!??

In my opinion, this delicacy is best eaten by tearing a chunk off (not a piece...a CHUNK) and dipping it into your coffee...you can thank me later. They also have a variety of other flavors such as orange, cinnamon crunch, and triple berry. They may have other flavors at different times of the year because they're seasonal, but the other four flavors I have tried are all soooo delicious. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Hope y'all like it and tell me what you think or what your favorite treat is to go with your coffee!

your WORST nightmare

Today, June 24, 2019, I decided to go to Starbucks for an afternoon pick-me-up before I ran a couple errands. I decided to go simple, yet flavorful. I ordered a grande cold brew with twooooooo pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup and a packet of stevia. As I am shopping at Home Goods, looking for cute, new decor for my coffee bar (of course), I kept almost spilling my drink or forgetting it on the shelves. I managed to keep up with my coffee up until the very end. As I'm grabbing my items at the checkout to take to my car....SPLAT!!! r.i.p. I had knocked over my coffee. My Starbucks cold brew had just became a stain on the floor of Home Goods. I was truly devastated. I probably didn't need the rest because I was already shaking from all the caffeine, but I still wanted it. Oh whale. Better luck next time I guess. Lesson to be learned: take good care of your coffee, especially while shopping.

The More the Merrier

Look at all my coffee buddies!!! My dad has always been my OG coffee buddy. He's irreplaceable :) And my best friend Naomi (she's a KD at UGA too) will get coffee with me all the time in college. BUT!!!!!! My boyfriend Dyl Pickle (my nickname for him) is a newest member of the coffee club! Fortunately, his high school best friend, Davis Wall, likes coffee too! So now I got me some buddies who will go on coffee dates with me hehe.

All these pictures are times I've been to Starbucks with them to get our morning cup of Joe to revive ourselves. Not only do I go to get coffee,  but the best part that I cherish is the company. Every time I go with someone, I make a new memory. For instance, when I go with my dad, he always says he wants a Frappe Crappe instead of a Frappucino because it's not healthy for him AT all. It's also funny hearing Dylan order because his drink is so long and complicated (because he's allergic to dairy and likes a lot of sugar...picky ;) ) and I'm whispering in his ear the whole time to help him remember what he orders. Naomi made fun of him for his longggggggggg order and fancy coffee. I thought it was interesting too that Davis likes his coffee black; not expected. Anywho, I'm just glad I have friends to share what I love and make some memories with :)

BRAGGING TIME

Yesterday, June 7, 2019, I stayed the night at my amazing boyfriend's house. He understands how important it is for me to have a cup of coffee in the morning. So, on the way to brunch with his family, he asked me if  I need some coffee. Of course I said yes, but I was just planning on getting one at the restaurant. Instead, my wonderful and sweet boyfriend, Dylan, pulled over to the Starbucks that was on the way to the place we were going to eat at. My heart melted a little bit inside when he turned into the drive-thru. It was such a sweet surprise. He just gets me :) I mean just look at that precious and handsome smile.

On another note, that Starbucks he took me to was probably the fastest I've ever been to. We went through the drive-thru in like two minutes; plus there were other cars in the drive-thru. It was crazy fast. The store was located in the Fayetteville and Peachtree City area. Props to that Starbucks for being on their game and getting stuff done.

Anyway, just a little appreciation and brag post on my boyfriend for embracing my coffee addiction <3

Where the Magic Happens

Welcome to my coffee bar.

Pretty cool, ain't it. My parents generously gave me all these neat little gadgets just so I can make the perfect cup of coffee every morning. I have a classic Keurig that almost every modern day family owns and a Nespresso machine from their Vertuo line. Another trinket I have that is NECESSARY is a handheld milk frother from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. ***The handheld one is 1000x better and way easier to use than Nespresso's milk frother that is also way more expensive.

Another part of my coffee bar that makes it personal and special is my coffee cup collection. I have tons more than what is pictured...oops. Every where I go I try to get a cute and trendy new coffee cup as a souvenir wherever I travel and visit.

In order to flavor my coffee, I have a variety of different syrups from Torani and Skinny Syrup. I get Torani syrups from Publix or Kroger, but other brand name syrups, like Skinny Syrup, I get from Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or Home Goods. Plus, I use liquid Stevia most of the time as a healthy alternative which can be found in most grocery stores. As well as syrups, I use creamer to add creaminess to my coffee. My favorite creamer to use is Coffee Mate's Natural Bliss Sweet Cream flavor; it makes my coffee creamy and does not make my coffee too much sweeter.

And as you can see, there is a variety of different K-Cups and Nespresso pods. My favorite K-Cups to get are the ones by the Donut Shop - regular or one of the other flavors. My favorite Nespresso pods to get are the Caramelizio flavor because it has a strong coffee/espresso taste with a subtle touch of caramel.

Well, there she is; my beautiful and aesthetic coffee bar. Please enjoy the pictures :-)

SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING COFFEE

Peet's Coffee in Georgetown Washington D.C.

Coffee follows me wherever I go!!! When my family and I adventured to Virginia this summer, we stopped by this cute city called Georgetown in Washington D.C.. My parents used to live in Maryland, so they wanted to see the newly renovated shops and restaurants in the city. Georgetown was astoundingly beautiful and had trails, rivers, and nature views. After exploring all day long, my mom, dad, brother, and I needed a pick-me-up. I got this neat drink called The Black Tie and my dad got a LARGE caramel macchiato (pictured). Both were delicious, but the real star is The Black Tie. It's a cold brew coffee (which you guys know I love a good cold brew) layered with condensed milk then half-and-half. I slurped this lil drink down in seconds!!! I knew I should've gotten an extra, extra large ;) The Baridi Cold Brew flavor was smooth and velvety, plus the condensed milk made the drink sweet, so I didn't have to add any  extra flavor. When you mix the condensed milk with half-and-half, it creates a creamy delight that you cannot resist. SOOO....if you have a Peet's Coffee shop near you, I am jealous and please take full appreciation and advantage of their delicious coffee!!!!

HOMEMADE COFFEE PERFECTION

Who needs to go to a coffee shop when you can make the best coffee right in your home!? All you need is some syrup (I get sugar-free Torani flavors and Skinny Syrup), creamer (my new favorite is the Natural Bliss Sweet Creme Coconut milk creamer), coffee (my new seasonal favorite is the Toffeenut Starbucks K-cups that I got from T.J. Maxx!!!), and a Keurig or other coffee machine. To make mine, I take two syrups like sugar-free caramel and hazelnut (they go really good with the toffeenut) and pour some creamer in my super cute coffee mug then use my Aerolatte handheld milk frother to froth the creamer and syrup together. After that, I brew my toffeenut k-cup in my keurig into my frothed creamer and syrup. I give my coffee and creamer a little swirl then WALA!!! The perfect cup o' coffee. The bag of mini Stroopwafels are honey flavored and are from T.J. Maxx too, and they go perfect with my cup of coffee. What's your idea of your the best homemade coffee???

SPOOKY SZN IS UPON US...

WHAT SPOOKY MUGS DO YOU HAVE FOR THIS SPOOKY SZN?

This year my beloved boyfriend, Dylan (who has been mentioned many times), and my magnificent mom bought me spooky mugs that are getting me ready for Halloween. My mom got me a chilling mug that is based after Disney's ride, Haunted Mansion. The shape of the mug reminds me of a cauldron, and it has accent features that are all scary and creepy that pertain to the ride. The details of the handwriting and things coming off of the mug really make the mug feel authentic to the ride. Also, Dylan got me a seasonal Starbucks mug that is all black and has a spider web drawn into it. Starbucks also has a white one right now with a skull drawn into it which is very neat as well (just more spooky). Dylan got me this mug the day I passed out and threw up in class as a little gift because he knew how much I wanted it and I needed something to brighten up (or darken ;)) the day, and my mom got me the Haunted Mansion mug as a gift since college has been very tough this semester. Most people probably think I am crazy for having so many mugs and a lot of them are seasonal and holiday themed, but those little cups bring me so much joy. I always remember where and how I got each and every coffee mug. To me, a coffee mug is not just an item; it's a memory and a story with deep meaning

Sisterhood of the Traveling Coffee

The Well Coffeehouse

Brrr! What do you think I want when I am cold?? A FINE OLE HOT CUP OF JOE. Nothing is better than a hot coffee on a frigid day in a super hip town. I found the cutest, little coffee shop near downtown. I made my friends come with me before we departed Nashville. It was called The Well Coffeehouse. It is awesome what their coffee shop does for people in need. The coffee shop takes their profits and provides cities in Africa with wells for clean water. How amazing. You don't see much of those generous deeds in the world enough these days. Anyway, back to the coffee. I got such a good, small espresso drink called "The Cuban." It was an espresso with steamed sweetened condensed milk plus I added white mocha. It was absolutely exquisite. It was not as sweet as I expected which was a positive. It was the perfect balance between bitter and sweet, and the size of it was perfect. Since the coffee was a bit creamer and sweeter  because of using condensed milk, they served the Cuban in a very small cup. The barista really took his time with pouring the milk into the espresso which left a beautiful frothy design in my cup. I loved this coffee shop and the earthy vibe it gives off. 10/10 recommend if you are visiting Nash :)
